I don't know why Blackcomb but it always takes a long time for your server to show up even tho I am pretty close. Why do servers from very far away show up first but I have to wait a little longer for closer ones? Hmmm anyways, going now to see if it's back up and running right!!!

Jesus I got again the "failed to load client dll" launcher error ! it says that it's used by another program but none is using it, not even steam -____________-

Ok I think the only way to fix that is reinstalling.. again..

Anyway, who knows how to avoid this happening again when I open steam ? I don't have the game running at same time when I do that

It's not that I get that error on every game but still I get them quite often now. what's the problem?

Also sometimes i get somthing about addons and clean VAC, please help. Is there a new rev?

I also have a few issues. I can't play online even if i got the latest update for L4D 2 i don't know if i got the latest rev since i don't know how to know but i got the one called 2054+. "Steam Validation" typically means the RevEmu didn't install correctly. 2054 XMAS is the rev I am using without problems.

Really is that so? I followed your guide PERFECTLY. I double checked everytime before applying any patch etc.

Just reinstall the Rev-Emu after you updating the game.

P.S I just re downloaded RevEmu as well before testing this.

Dont use RevLoader, use RevEmulator.

Hmm but Isn't "L4D2_Rev_EXE_v2054+XMASedition.exe " the one i should be using? There is nothing called RevEmulator in the Left 4 Dead 2 folder only RevLoader. Now i'm just confused and feel stupid...

This is for anyone who may be having problems updating. From my own experience you need to make sure that you install the rev emu patch after you update. If you run the game before updating it wont work. If you try to update the game after you realised it didnt work it still wont work. U must re-apply the update and then select the rev emu imediatley after. If you run the game first then run the rev emy it will not work. I hope this makes sence. I had a bottle of Gin. Good luck!

Ye i had a rough time with this issue yesterday i went through it all with KKHFai who helped me through this mess.
This should be because the server you're trying to join isn't using 2.0.6.1 or is not a cracked server.
It's working fine for me after 2h of testing.

ok I managed to get it to work again. I think there are so many varibles that can go wrong when updating. I think It would not let me in becasue i didnt change my username in the ini file.

I can "not" get into 217.163.22.103:27015 it says (uninstall plugins or some shit like that)
I used to be able to get into both.

The server is dead, nobody around, mayhap they are having the same connectiion problems i had in the begining.

Try typing -steam in parameters.
How?
1. Right click the shortcut on desktop
2. Click Preferences
3. In target go to the end of the text type in -steam example: "D:\Left 4 Dead 2\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2.exe" -steam
