I'm still running (mostly) the same machine as I was 5 years ago..

Mobo: DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D motherboard
Proc: Athlon64 3500+ (used to be 3000+.. got a free upgrade from a friend)
Mem: 1.5gb DDR 3200 (used to be 2gb.. gave up some for the father-in-law since it's crazy expensive to buy DDR now)
Vid: ATi Radeon X1950 XT 256mb (Used to be an X800, then X800 GTO2 flashed to X850 XT)
Storage: 250gb Seagate running from a PCI-SATA card, with Win7 final 32-bit on it. Didn't RAID this time around.
Another 250gb Seagate + 320gb Seagate + 500gb Seagate as D:\, spanned through software (win7) instead of hardware (easier to manage and add to later)
Misc: External Samsung 500gb HDD and DVD+RW DL (old internal NEC died). Got both for the same price as the bare drives..
Mon: 22" Samsung Widescreen. 5ms. It's pretty decent. Traded a refurb PS3 for it, so that I could use it on my spare 360. Using it on the PC currently, though.
PSU: 500W Ultra (brand) Infinity. Plain jane thing. From back when 120mm fans weren't common on PSUs.

Either my mobo or the PSU is dying I think.

I can still play most games surprisingly well since I put on the Win7 RTM. I've started to play Supreme Commander and a few others that I missed out on (or were poorly ported to 360).

Oh I almost forgot.. my MAIN machine is actually a newish laptop..

Mobo: Unknown (it's a Compaq CQ50-104ca laptop)
Proc: Athlon X2 QL-60 (1.9ghz)
Mem: 4gb DDR2 667mhz
Vid: Geforce 8200m g (had to have mobo replaced once already b/c of this. Every nvidia product I've ever had has failed me)
Storage: 160gb Seagate
Mon: 15.4"

It doesn't do much gaming but I can get away with some..

Mobo: Gigabyte MA-790GP-DS4H
Proc:: AMD Phenom II 940
Mem: 2x 2GB OCZ Platinum 1066, running at 800 due to incompatibility
Gfx: Sapphire ATI HD4890 1GB
HDD: Samsung F1 Spinpoint HD642JJ 640gb
       Western Digital MyBook 500GB External
Screen: Acer 21,5" full HD screen with 16:9 ratio
PSU: CoolerMaster M520

For me it was the perfect balance between price and performance, kept it below €1000 easily while I can still play most games on highest settings.

Above System i have had since 2008 have recently bought a 2nd PC for the kids n Mrs which i will post specs on later when i get around to logging off this one Cheesy

Solid system rock solid stability, framerates and benchmarks for 3D games and realworld fps rates are great even compared to cards costing almost twice the price the margin is negligible unless playing above 1920x1200 (which i dont as my monitors native resolution is 1920x1200). Currently on left for dead 2 with alls ettings maxed out and 16 x AF and 4 x AA i average 120-140 fps in open areas if it is indoor areas i get constant 170-200 fps average.

they are average fps max and min in outdoor areas with huge hoards etc and fire blah blah i see 80-90 fps for e.g in swamp when thigns are crazy, can't wait to get a 3rd party CPU cooler and Over Clock the CPU / FSB and grab some DDR3 (as that mainboard supports DDR3 in dual channel) and see the improvement.
