If you previously used Stryder Loader and wish to move to the New Rev-Emu,
1-Remove Stryder Loader:
delete stryder.dll, stryder.ini, stryder.txt, IniGen.exe from root folder and remove Name Enabler Addon.
2-install repacked update with new "CEG-Free" patched client.dll.
3-install latest rev-emu.

Updates to Left 4 Dead 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is

restarted. The major changes include:

Left 4 Dead 2

    * Reduced Dedicated Server max search ping to 150 ms
    * Teams that prefer listen servers will no longer be matched with teams that prefer dedicated servers
    * Official dedicated servers are now preferred when searching for team matches
    * More populous lobbies are now preferred over less populous ones when searching for games
    * Players who crash or have failed to load are no longer banned if they have been kicked
    * Update Russian subtitles
    * Fixed not being able to interlink teams in team-on-team mode
    * Fixed not being able to properly migrate team lobby after team leader would leave the lobby
    * Fixed not being able to invite friends if player was not team leader in a team-on-team game

Satannuts did this update you packing up does not include the original client.dll bcause i edit the installer then i see no client.dll inside there. One more thing that Eydee (cs.rin.ru) says on cs.rin.ru "The 2.0.0.7 client.dll file from my steam version is the same size as the one posted in the 2.0.0.4 loader package. The serial number of the digital signature is the same as well. It's date is Dec. 5. 2009 which is when 2.0.0.4 was released if we take timezones into account. So most likely it has not been changed and the game (v2.0.0.7) works fine with the client.dll posted here." HUH..... so why VALVE are doing this

Failed, Instant CTD after less than 1 sec of the main menu screen music from appearing, no error report...

Works fine here, until I want to quit the game, lol.

If I select quit to menu halfway through a game it goes to the menu, then ctd after a couple of seconds. But it is working fine while playing the game, at least so far

using Stryder´s bat loader instead cracked left4dead2.exe works fine, no ctd when I want to go back to main menu

P.S: Using original steamclient.dll and left4dead2.exe and full path to file Steam_l4d2.dll and steamclient_l4d2.dll in rev.ini.

I am getting integrity check failed when I try to run the full update. I downloaded from the mediafire link because rapidshare tells me limit exceeded or something.

Yep, got the same integrity check failure from RapidShare and Mediafire links.

I got the 2.0.0.6 full update from the 2.0.0.6 thread on this forum, then the incremental 2.0.0.6 to 2.0.0.7 patch from this thread. Works a treat.

Only thing I get is the CTD when going back to main menu and my achievements not saving (possibly as a result of the crash).

I get an Engine Error message saying steam must be running then when i run steam it says i dont have permission. i did everything in the forums any help?
Also i ran the test files exe and this is what i got:
