What that you means Version: 1.0
Anyway you must download all the update to play online but please check your version before you patch up the game and remember to patch up the game follow by version to version

First run the game then press this key ~ on your keyboard to open the console then type version in the console then click submit and then you will see the version in the console like this



To enable the console select OPTIONS in game then click Keyboard/Advanced... then check the Enable developer console and click OK

OK in this version you cant use the unlocked weapon bcause the Rev-Emu need to be updated so now is wait for the new fix.
About the server you get Steam Validation Rejected, that server is different version as you.

I really wish people would release updates until there fully working.
It really is annoying when people release updates with known bugs like this.

Or atleast a pre warning would be nice so people dont update there client losing every thing.
Im hoping in the future some one will just make a simple addon that allows you to equip directly from the server via a list of weapons.
I know some older servers use to have the addon where you could actually equip hats and some items via /equip

Also what is the file that causes the problem with items.
And is there any way that it can be recoded to not read from steam files but another dll meaning that after updates it wont go tits up?

Yes but if there was no UPDATE to update there servers then we wouldnt need to update.
Abit confusing but pretty much people shouldnt release updates until there fully working.
If people didnt release non working updates servers wouldnt update as there wouldnt be an update.

If everyone did that, i would never test windows 7, and i wouldn´t test team fortress

Think that, when the patch were complete, valve would make a patch against XD

to the latest 1.0.7.8 i updated it from this patches(1.0.0.0-1.0.6.8, and then 68-69 69-70 ...) because i downloaded the non steam version from torent..
so are these non steam pathces or steam ? i uninstaled game and than instaled it again i'm updatig it now again

i dont know did i do something wrong with zip folder i unpacked them and copy/paste the content inside

All those file are Non-Steam but Non-Steam had 2 type, 1 is Extracted type and 1 is GCF type so all those update file in here is Extracted type.

I have tested with the 73, 74, 75 update and their is no error for me. So what version of 7 zip that you use? Please dont use the BETA version to do that, use the stable version (4.65).

Winrar is 3.80 and stuffit is 14.0.0.18, but I made a backup of TF2 and copied in the cracks and I don't get any errors when joining servers or anything, everything (at least seems to) works fine.
I also installed 7zip and it worked fine - no problems, so its probably just winrar and stuffit don't have proper .7z support.

So installing the stable 7zip worked, problem solved!

I first updated up to 1.0.8.2 but I would always get either "steam validation rejected" or "file inconsistancy for bullet_tracers". I then extracted that RevEmu thing into my TF2 folder and now I can't even see the server. Any advice on what I can do now?...
