How To Install Non-Steam Team Fortress 2:

Prerequisites:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1
Microsoft's .net Framework 3.5
Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package: 32-bit or 64-bit
Download and install Microsoft's .net Framework 3.5

Quick Setup:
I. Install Team Fortress 2.
II. Update Team Fortress 2.
III. Patch Game with TF2 EPC Pack A.K.A Rev-Emu.
IV. Play by executing tf2.exe.

I. Install Team Fortress 2:
Download and install [EPC] TF2 release or other full releases will work also.

II. Update Team Fortress 2:
Update Team Fortress 2 to the latest version or current stable version.
Manual Updates: Extract update with 7-zip into your TF2 installation folder. Overwrite files when prompted.

Auto Updates: Run the installer, then browse to your TF2 installation folder and follow the on-screen instructions.

III. Patch Game with TF2 EPC Pack A.K.A Rev-Emu:
Install latest TF2 EPC Pack or current stable version.
Go into your Team Fortress 2\bin\config folder and make sure MasterServers.vdf is checked to Read-only.

IV. Play by executing tf2.exe:
Create a shortcut on your desktop to tf2.exe and launch the game.
Go to Options\Multiplayer\Advanced\Player name to change your name.

Common TF2 Problems & Solutions:

Problem: When i start the game, i get this "Engine error: No permission to run tf"
Solution: Close steam before you start the game

Problem: When i connect to the server, i get this "Steam validation rejected" or "Invalid steam key"
Solution: Make sure you connect to that server are cracked

Problem: When i connect to the server, i get this "Server uses different class tables"
Solution: Make sure you connect to that server are same version with you

Problem: How to disable intro video
Solution: Add this "-novid" to your shortcut parameter

Problem: How to enable console
Solution: Start the game, then select "Options/Keyboard/Advanced..." then check "Enable developer console" and click OK or add this "-console" to your shortcut parameter

Problem: How to check game version via console
Solution: Type "version" and click submit

Problem: How to use unlocked weapons or hats on cracked server
Solution: Make sure you and the server are using Rev-Emu

Promblem: Why i cant change the weapons or hats while im in the server
Solution: Yes, you cant change the weapons or hats while you are in the server. So, change the weapons or hats before you connect to the server
