Configure Qtracker to support cracked serverlists:

1- Open Qtracker.

2- Add COD4:Modern Warfare to Qtracker [if it wasn't auto-detected]:
Left click on "View" --> select "Settings" --> "Games" --> "Installed" --> select Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
[but don't configure the exe/directory locations yet] Click Apply, then OK.

3- In the games&folders pane, right click Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Select "new" -> "folder" and name it "COD4 Cracked Servers".
Right click your newly created folder -> select 'properties'.
Click the browse button for "Application used to play game" and browse to and open "iw3mp.exe"
[Example:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe]
Game directory will be set automatically.
Click Apply, then OK.


To add a single server:
Right click on the "cracked servers" folder you created --> select "New" --> "Server", enter the server IP to add it to your list.

To import a server.txt file:
1- Download qtracker serverlists from the main page.
2- Right click the "cracked server" folder for your game --> select "Import servers into this folder" and browse to the private server .txt file that you downloaded. Click open. Press F5 to refresh the list and wait a moment.

Alternative importing:
You can also add single or multiple server IP's to Qtracker by copy/pasting them right into the server window of the game folder you have selected.

In COD4 I get a message *Warning* Server IP was banned by Punkbuster - Then it start to lagg really hard.

This is a way for PB to try and stop cracked servers by adding there IP and make the players LAGG like crazy so that they finally stop playing there, but just donwload the fix and read the text file, you can find the file HERE

Note: A few users reported that you may still experience the lag and get kicked a few times, but just keep connecting to randomly banned servers and let it lag you. Eventually the lag will stop and you'll stop getting the warnings and be able to play the game as usual. You'll never have to do this again once it fixes itself.


I get kicked and get a message Punkbuster Disallowed Program/Driver [80249] or some other number

If you tried to cheat using hack files etc then foget about this help, if you dident this might help:

There isent a 100% solution for this but you can try these steps and give it a try after every step.
-Disable all programs not needed when playing, speacialy programs like Daemon tools, Alcohol120%, Download managers etc.
-Do a complet virusscan of your computer, NO fast scans it needs to be complete.
-Re-install PB and DirectX and make sure you have the latest videodrivers.
-If nothing helps try un-installing your virus software.
 

I get kicked out for: YOURNAME Punkbuster kicked player 'YOURNAME' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Corrupted File/Memory [81395] or some other number

If you tried to cheat using hack files etc then foget about this help, if you dident this might help:

1. Delet all the stuff in your PB folder
2. Go to evenbalance and download pbsetup or do the manual update
3. Follow the instructions
4. Try and connect.

If this still dosent help do this:

1. Uninstall the whole game(delet all folder after uninstall)
2. Install the game without install punkbuster
3. Use patch 1.1
4. Download and launch PBSETUP
5. Update pb
6. Play


I Keep getting kicked by punkbuster with some kick message about some rate what do i do?

You need to change your rate=your connection to the server, there are 2 ways to do this either go into Multiplayer Options and change it there under connetion, set it to LAN/cable/DLS.
Another way is to take down console and type /rate 25000 - then press enter.


I keep getting kicked for: Unknown Soldier(or other name) (slot #??) Bad (Disallowed) Name or maby you get kicked for Empty Player Name Disallowed

Just change you name to a better name, bad names could be HITLER, HESS or other bad words or profanity.
To change name type this in console: /name NEWNAME (then press enter)


I Keep geting kicked/banned from your server with this kick/ban message:

Notice: Server Disconnected - you have been permanently banned from this Game Server via PunkBuster ... GLOBAL PunkBuster GUID BAN 9aoca551

You need to change your CD-KEY in multiplayer options


PB keep kicking me for the reason bellow:

PunkBuster Client Removing "PLAYERNAME" 5a0a (GLOBAL Punkbuster GUID BAN 50a15a0a)

Well i dont really have any 100% fix to this problem but we have a way to fix it every time it happens.

Why you get kicked for it is becasue someone with the same cd-key that you use have been cheating and got caught and banned with a hardware ban + guid ban, meaning that all other players with the same CD-Key will also be banned.

If you get banned for this you can still change your CD-Key and start playing again but then you will have to do it the correct way of you might lose your rank, follow this LINK how to change CD-KEY.

The best way to fix this problem and for it to never ever comeback is to buy the game and get a real CD-KEY.


Punk Buster keeps kicking me with the following message:

Inadequate O/S Priviledges And for Ignoring MD5Tools Querries

The "Inadequate O/S Priviledges" means that you are not logged into your computer with Administration rights, and even if you are some people can still get that error follow this LINK TO HELP DOCUMENT with some diffrent solutions.


I get some WARNING message about old version of punkbuster or PB Init failure

PunkBuster is designed to auto-update itself during gameplay but sometimes it dosent work correctly and you need to update yourself, there are a few diffrent ways but PBsetup is the easiest way, you can read more HERE.

I keep getting Punk Buster must be enabled blah blah blah etc
I enable it in options, close the game, launch qtracker and I keep getting the same error.
Its like it keeps disabling itself.
Any help?

Download pbsvc.exe.

You may have googled but you didn't search our site. Search and try again.

Hi, I downloaden Qtracker, all those PB files stuff  I did everything what was in the read me file and still when i want to connect to a cracked server I get the message Punkbuster is disabled it must be enabled blablabla

At last my chance to repay the community for their help.

If you are having problems with the following files -

iw_06.iwd
iw_07.iwd
iw_08.iwd
iw_09.iwd
iw_10.iwd
iw_11.iwd

- just look for them on Google, either in Rapidshare or as a torrent.

When downloaded go to the following folder/directory 'Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\main' and you will see all the old  'iwd' files..... just paste and overwrite the old with the recently downloaded (I have no idea what they are for but probably best to back up that folder in case).

I had to do all 6 and then got to play online.

I had the same problem, uninstall the game, install it again and check then in multiplayer if pb is enable, only then (if is enable) install the patches... that works on me...

hey guys! i am new to this game and i love it, but there is a lot of strange things that i have to fix.
one of them is that i get kicked and it says kicked for 0 minutes corrupted memory [8135] something. and i have tried the solution that u wrote before: reinstall game with no pb and install manually, i did it and it still dont work.
the other problem is that it says, *Warning* Server IP was banned by Punkbuster and it start to lag like hell
and yes i have tried the solution too, with no resoult:(

Well...i keep getting this "key code in use" error, how can i fix it? i've tryed multiple keys..i mean i've tryed at LEAST 6 and it keeps doing the same thing..please i really just want to play with my friends and make Videos... please help.

I have done everything on the list , every time I go to run the application for multi player , it says error starting.

doesn't say what the error is , but it always does it , single player works , but multiplayer doesn't.

Any ideas ?

yea same thing its loading then... i guess activision got to us... well im gonna go finish ACT III and finish the game.

ok I got it working then went to adjust my display settings and it screwed up game. I reinstalled the game but didnt pay attention and installed in on another drive. I went into the settings and made sure it pointed to the new location but it keeps saying it cant find it on the other drive. I uninstalled then reinstalled qtracker again and it all shows the new drive but keeps giving me errors wanting the game file from the other drive. is there a way to wipe out the cache or whatever so it will see the new location
